Kevin Eccles has many years experience as an Elected Official. Kevin first entered public office as a Councillor in 2000 and then became Deputy Mayor in 2003. Kevin was elected to the Office of the Mayor for the Municipality of West Grey in November 2006, now serving in a four year term. Kevin became Warden of the County of Grey in December 2007.

During his time in the Office of the Mayor, Kevin has worked diligently for the West Grey community to tackle a wide variety of issues, including bringing e-technology to our rural / urban municipality; increasing communications, awareness and community dialogue; promoting strategic directions for infrastructure, the environment, municipal programs and services, as well as overall good governance.

Committees and organizations benefiting from his talents and involvement include the West Grey Police Services Board, West Grey Economic Development Committee, the Grant Review Team for the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Zone 5 Director of the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards and Charter Member of the West Grey Durham Lions Club.

Kevin graduated from the University of Guelph with the Ontario Agricultural Diploma. Prior to his political aspirations, Kevin partnered with his Father in a dairy farming operation and later was employed in various agricultural related positions, including Select Farm & Export Services.

Kevin enjoys many outdoor activities from golf to hiking. Kevin enjoys playing hockey a little bit now, but more telling stories of his coaching exploits from minor, junior to senior teams within the area.

Kevin and his wife Jo-Ann reside in Neustadt and have two children, Brittny and Brock.
