WEST GREY, ON--The skyline of West Grey is poised to look very different in the coming years, with the approval of the subdivision agreement between the Municipality of West Grey and John Welton Custom Homebulding Ltd. The subdivision, the largest planned for Durham, will be completed over four phases, with more than 200 homes planned in the development.
“Together with council, I am thrilled to see the vision for West Grey’s newest community take one giant step forward with the unanimous support of council,” said Mayor Christine Robinson. “Mr. Welton, and his partner in this development, Don Tremble of Candue Homes, along with staff and our external professionals have worked together extremely well and must be commended for their commitment to this project. This investment in Durham is certain to chart an exciting future for all of West Grey.”
The project will also contribute to the municipality’s goal of diversifying its housing stock, with a planned 118 single family homes, 60 semi-detached and up to 64 townhomes.
