WEST GREY, ON – The West Grey Fire Service is grateful to be a recipient of this year's Enbridge Gas Inc. Safe Community Project Assist campaign.
Enbridge Gas has generously contributed $5,000 to the West Grey Fire Service for the purchase of essential firefighting training materials, made available through the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council. This funding enables West Grey Fire Service to enhance its training capabilities significantly.
With this grant the West Grey Fire Service has purchased International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) training manuals and an exam preparation library for each fire station. These resources will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality training to our dedicated firefighters.
“Ensuring our firefighters have the necessary training to safely answer the call has always been a priority,” said Mayor Kevin Eccles. “Enbridge Gas is a valued community partner, and their support is especially appreciated.”
Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Edwards added that these training materials will assist in delivering quality training and play a vital role in promoting and supporting West Grey’s firefighters pursuing NFPA firefighter certification.
The West Grey Fire Service is dedicated to enhancing its capabilities and sincerely thanks Enbridge Gas Inc. for supporting our efforts to ensure a safe and resilient community.
