Accessibility committees
West Grey has an accessibility committee that reviews and advises on local accessibility issues.
We are also a member municipality of the joint accessibility advisory committee in Grey County. This group is dedicated to removing barriers to municipal government and advocates for accessible buildings and spaces across Grey County.
As a rule, half of the membership for both committees are made up of people with disabilities.
Website compliance
The West Grey website meets or exceeds provincial standards for accessibility as set out by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). As of January 1, 2021 all government websites must meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA.
