Open House - Official Plan Review

The Municipality of West Grey is undertaking a review and update of its Official Plan, a guiding document that outlines goals, objectives, and policies to shape future land use, development, and growth within the community. The West Grey Official Plan applies to the settlement areas of Durham and Neustadt. In accordance with Ontario’s Planning Act, municipalities are required to review their Official Plans at least every five years to ensure they align with provincial plans, reflect matters of provincial interest, and are consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement. This review will also help West Grey align its Official Plan with updated strategic priorities and evolving community needs related to growth and development. A map of the affected areas can be found on the Municipal website or at the Municipal Office during business hours.

Attend the Open House
You are invited to attend an Open House to ask questions. This will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Official Plan review project and how you can participate throughout the process.

Two Open Houses will be held at the following dates, times, and locations:

• September 9, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the West Grey Municipal Office, 402813 Grey County Rd 4, Durham, ON
• September 11, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Neustadt Community Centre, 183 Enoch St, Neustadt, ON
