West Grey Police Service Board Announces Appointment of Chief Designate Jeremy White
WEST GREY, ON — The West Grey Police Service Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy White as the future Chief of Police for the West Grey Police Service. Chief Designate White was selected by the Police Service Board on May 12, 2025, and will officially assume the role of Chief of Police on June 28, 2025, following the retirement of Chief Rob Martin.
Chief Rob Martin, who has served with dedication and distinction, will retire on June 27, 2025, marking the conclusion of a notable career in policing and leadership within the West Grey Police Service. The Board extends its sincere gratitude to Chief Martin for his years of unwavering service to the West Grey community.
Chief Designate Jeremy White’s policing career began in 2000 as an Auxiliary Officer with the Town of Durham. In 2001, he joined the West Grey Police Service as a full-time Constable. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to community service, White advanced through the ranks, being promoted to Sergeant in 2016, Inspector in 2021, and Deputy Chief in 2024.
With 25 years of policing experience, Chief Designate White brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a strong connection to the community he serves. His appointment ensures the continuation of the Service’s commitment to excellence, public safety, and community engagement.
An official swearing-in ceremony for Chief Designate White will take place in the coming weeks.
