Council Meeting Highlights - April 7, 2026

• Council received a delegation from the Saugeen Municipal Airport Commission’s Chair, Dave Hocking. Chair Hocking provided an overview of the development concept and proposed airport related uses, which was supported in principle by Council.
  
  
• Council received a staff report regarding the 2026 Accessory Apartment Housekeeping Amendment to the Zoning Bylaw. Council directed staff to initiate the public consultation process in relation to the draft housekeeping amendment, and to bring forward a bylaw to amend Zoning Bylaw 37-2006 once the public consultation process is complete. The West Grey Zoning Bylaw was adopted by Council in 2006, and is in need of a comprehensive update to align with changes to West Grey, County, and Provincial policy.
  
  
• Council received a staff report regarding Quick Feet Hockey Inc.’s request for a waiver of contracted fees. Council did not support their request to waive the fees.
  
  
• Council shared information about upcoming community events, including:
  • Neustadt Lions Club Lobsterfest on May 23, 2026, at the Neustadt Arena
