Community Garden

Community gardens are shared spaces where individuals come together to grow fruit, vegetables, and flowers collectively. These gardens play a key role in promoting food security by improving both physical and economic access to healthy food.

The West Grey Community Garden and Orchard offers a variety of benefits for everyone involved. The garden includes raised beds for community-grown produce, as well as individual plots where gardeners can grow food for personal use and/or donate surplus to support those in need. Several exciting projects are in the works to enhance community engagement and create a welcoming space where food brings people and nature together.

In 2023, the West Grey Community Garden received a grant from Tree Canada, allowing us to plant 25 assorted fruit trees. We are thrilled to watch our orchard thrive and grow into full production in the coming years.
