Who Receives a Waste Collection Cart?

As part of West Grey's new automated waste collection program, one 240-litre waste cart will be delivered to each eligible residential property before collection begins on June 29, 2026.

Eligible properties include:

• Single detached homes
• Semi-detached homes
• Duplexes and triplexes
• Other residential properties receiving municipal curbside waste collection

Waste carts will not be automatically provided to:

• Multi-residential buildings with more than five units
• Campgrounds
• Mobile home parks

Please note: Waste carts are assigned to the property, and requests must be made by the property owner. The Municipality cannot issue carts directly to tenants.

If your property is not eligible for a cart, but you would like to request one, or if you need an additional cart or a replacement for a damaged cart, you can submit a request online.
