West Grey Holiday Office Closure
The Municipality of West Grey office will be closed for the holidays beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Please note that the Durham and Bentinck Waste and Diversion Site will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
The Waste and Diversion Sites will operate as usual on all other days. Waste and Recycling collection schedules will not be affected by these closures.

There are a variety of rental venues available throughout the Municipality. To view current bookings, please refer to our facility booking calendar or contact the Recreation Department for more information on booking ice surfaces, halls, meeting rooms, and the pool.
West Grey requires all event hosts to purchase event insurance to ensure protection while hosting a group in our spaces. Event hosts may obtain insurance from any provider, as long as it meets a minimum of five million dollars in general liability coverage, with the municipality listed as an additional insured.
We have partnered with the insurance provider Duuo to offer our community members a preferred rate on event insurance. With Duuo, you can easily purchase coverage by entering a few details about your event, and receive a policy in about two minutes.
Policy costs vary based on the type of event, the number of guests, and whether alcohol will be served.
Spacious hall with attached kitchen. Great for luncheons, meetings, social gatherings, and clubs. This hall has lots of parking with attached playgrounds, basketball court and ball diamond. The hall also includes a small stage and bathrooms that can be accessed from the exterior of the building.

Durham Town Hall has a main floor and an upper level. The main floor is ideal for meetings or family gatherings and includes a small kitchen and washrooms. The upper level features a small stage and floor area, making it perfect for performances, dance classes or social events.

The Elmwood Community Centre is an accessible facility. The community centre is great for hosting a variety of events including weddings, dances, conferences and family gatherings.
Just outside the Elmwood Community Centre there is a ball diamond available to rent.
Auditorium capacity: 300 people
Banquet hall capacity: 200 people
Glenelg Hall includes a meeting space, one washroom (accessible), and kitchen space with a full fridge and stove.

The Neustadt Community Centre is perfect any medium-sized social event or gathering including weddings, dinners, socials, and awards nights. The hall has large windows, large catering kitchen, bar, and a spacious stage.
