Curbside Collection
The Municipality of West Grey is committed to providing efficient and sustainable curbside collection services to all residents. Waste Management, the service provider for the Municipality of West Grey, is responsible for regular waste collection across the area. Our recycling collection service, managed by Circular Materials, is designed to help divert waste from landfills and support our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Collection tips:
- All items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Collection crews may begin in any area of the zone, so pickup times may vary from week to week.
- Waste and recycling are collected on the same day; however, they may be picked up by separate trucks at different times.
- Waste must be set out in clear bags, with a West Grey bag tag attached to each bag.
- Ensure your cart is placed at least 1 metre away from obstacles such as vehicles, mailboxes, utility posts, other waste items, or snowbanks.
- Bags must not exceed 20 kg.
- Collection crews have until the end of the day to complete their routes. If your items are missed, please call 1-800-561-1655 or email canresidential@wm.com, and be sure to include your full address.
Winter tips:
- Place all items on a cleared, level surface.
- Do not place items on or behind snowbanks, as they may not be collected.
- In built-up areas, keep all materials off sidewalks and roadways to maintain safe access for collectors.
- Ensure recycling carts are at least 1 metre away from snowbanks, mailboxes, vehicles, and other obstacles so collectors can safely access them.

Waste Collection
Your garbage is collected on the same day as recycling under the new schedule. Continue to use clear garbage bags with a West Grey bag tag on each bag.
If your collection was missed, please use our missed collection form to report the issue so it can be resolved quickly. Collection crews have until the end of the day to complete routes recycling and waste may not be collected at the same time. All garbage must be placed in clear bags.
