West Grey closures under provincial orders

WEST GREY, ON—The Municipality of West Grey will be following the provincial lockdown order and closing municipal facilities to the public. As of noon, December 24, 2020, the administration office, recreation facilities and libraries will be closed to the public until February 1, 2021.

West Grey to host public meeting to review Official Plan

WEST GREY, ON—The Municipality of West Grey is hosting a public meeting on December 15 at 7 p.m. to review the West Grey Official Plan.
The meeting will be held remotely through ZOOM meeting softwareand give an opportunity to for staff to share information and listen to public feedback. Should you wish to comment prior to the meeting, please fill out this form, or call 519-369-2200.
A draft of the Official Plan has been posted for review.

Notice of adoption of Community Improvement Plan

TAKE NOTICE the council of the Municipality of West Grey passed bylaw No. 83-2020 to adopt the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) on December 1st, 2020 under Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
In making this decision, council considered all written and oral submissions received regarding the CIP.

West Grey pleased with broadband announcement

WEST GREY, ON— The Municipality of West Grey is encouraged by the announcement of funding for broadband.
On November 17, the province announced that all contracts have been signed in Bruce and Grey counties through the Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) project. In total, nearly $17 million will be invested into improving high-speed connectivity in Grey County.
