Public notice regarding flushing of hydrants

Please be advised that the Municipality of West Grey will be flushing hydrants in Neustadt and Durham. Due to operational issues, hydrant flushing will begin in the month of October and will extend into November.
Flushing is an essential maintenance function necessary to maintain water quality, improve the carrying capacity of pipes, and ensure the proper operation of distribution system components, such as hydrants and valves.

Flags lowered to honour Queen Elizabeth

-WEST GREY, ON — All flags at West Grey municipal facilities have been lowered to half-mast to honour the late Queen Elizabeth.
“It is with great sadness that we recognize the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” said West Grey Mayor Christine Robinson. “Her Majesty’s 70 year-reign personified selfless service, and steadfast duty.”
Her Majesty’s passing was announced today, September 8, 2022 and flags will remain lowered until further notice.

Take notice that pursuant to the Municipal Act 2001, c.25, as amended, the Municipality of West Grey et al Council, at their regular meeting to be held on September 6th, 2022 will be considering a by-law to name all public and private roads, as required, to accommodate the following road additions:
- Spruce Drive (Tremble Modular Home Park);
- Meadows Drive (Tremble Modular Home Park);
- Blueberry Lane (Broos Subdivision);
- Rustic Oak Street (Broos Subdivision);

The Municipality of West Grey has received an application to name a corporate asset and is seeking input from external stakeholders, including members of the public, regarding the suitability of the application, pursuant to the Corporate Asset Naming Policy.
