The Municipality of West Grey is launching the Festive Lights Tour again for the 2021 holiday season.
The self-guided tour takes participants right across West Grey to visit seven sites decorated for the holiday season. Festive Lights Tour Passports can be downloaded here or picked up at the West Grey Municipal Office. Any pictures at the sites should be posted on social media with the hashtag #WestGreyLights.
The tour is set to run from December 1 to January 4, 2021

WEST GREY, ON — West Grey council is considering operational changes anticipated to create efficiencies and potential savings at the three West Grey landfill sites.
A survey to gather public input was conducted in November, and over 180 responses were received. The results of the survey can be viewed below.
It is anticipated that council will revisit this matter at the November 30, 2021 budget meeting. Information for the budget meeting can be found at https://calendar.westgrey.com/meetings/Detail/2021-11-30-0900-Special-Council.

The Durham and Bentick landfills will be open tomorrow, Saturday November 13, 2021 for the regular hours: 8a.m. to 4p.m.
The Normanby landfill will be closed until further notice.

The Municipality of West Grey is conducting a survey to learn more about how often and why the residents of West Grey attend landfill sites. There are three ways to complete the survey;
- Complete the survey on paper and deliver it to the West Grey Municipal Office.

Beginning Saturday, November 3, 2021, there will be a new way to recycle film plastics and expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) in West Grey. The Municipality is now accepting film plastics and expanded polystyrene at the Bentinck and Durham landfill sites. Residents can drop-off certain types of film plastics and expanded polystyrene for free.
